The API I use to get the xbox information is down at the moment. I have no control over this.
I am hoping it comes back up soon. In the meantime I am trying to find another way to do this.

I think it is working again. I have no control over the service. If it goes down then the plugin will be affected

I haven't seen it work yet. I stay offline as all my friend do when I know they (and I) where online.

After some extensive googling I've found the following text on this site --> http://www.chewyapps.com/chewy-xbox/

QUOTE: UPDATE 1: I use duncanmackenzie.net for my source of Xbox Live information, and Duncan says that “for those using my xbox api, the powers that be have put a limit on my requests… which I seem to have hit right now“.

On Duncans site his last blog entry is from february, so the question is if the service will be fixed.

My question to is if I can get the old plugin version which gets the data directly from the xbox live site. That one is reliable for sure.

I've installed the old version of the plugin, but it's generating an exeption on starting homeseer:

28-11-2009 14:20:15 - Error - Initializing interface: BLXbox->De type-initialisationfunction for this util has generated an exeption.

This also happens when I disable and enable the plugin.

My system details are:
- Windows 7 Ultimate
- IE 8
- HS Pro 2.4.0.1

Any ideas?

I thought this would be a simple workaround to bypass Duncan's site, but apparently it's takes more to get it working.

p.s. I don't know if you know this, but the XML gets generated when you request it using Duncans site. The problem however is that the XML states that users are offline when there not. The problem with this is that you never know for sure if the service is down or not. Have you seen people coming online from the plugin lately?

Yes I have seen people coming online but it comes in waves.
I cannot seem to find another way around it at this time.

No idea why you would get that. That is an old build and I do not have the source for that build anymore.
Xbox has changed its web site since then and it could be because of that.

I am afraid that the xbox interface is out of my hands because Microsoft is not letting anyone into the developer program anymore.
I would need the xbox api in order to replicate what duncan has done and I cannot get access to it without being in the developer program.
